Giving Tuesday, held on Nov. 28, is a global giving movement which kicks off the charitable giving season.  It encourages us to give a donation, our time, or our voice to help the local community.  If you'd like to support our work with domestic violence victims, check out our "Donate" page.


Domestic Violence Therapeutic Support Group
Wed, Jan 3, to Wed, Feb 21, 2018 - 4:30pm - 6pm

Therapeutic support group for domestic violence survivors facilitated by Carrie Hyde, LCSW and Becca S., Advocate.  Held on Wednesday evenings, the group addresses themes such as finding your voice again, healing with others who understand you, building a community of support, asserting yourself to be your own best advocate, and financial counseling.  There will be prizes given away often for attendance.  Call 607-748-5174 (Carrie Hyde) or Text 607-205-7039 with questions or to enroll.

What is domestic violence?

Domestic Violence is a pattern of coercive behavior. This pattern can include abuse of various sorts of one family member by another including:

Perpetrators of domestic violence have a goal to establish and maintain power and control over their partners and/or other family members.

This violence affects people in every racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic group and includes people of all ages who have lived together or who have had an intimate relationship.

Domestic violence often escalates in severity and frequency over time and can have serious health and psychological ramifications.
